Subjectivity is about conveying feeling and thought. Faces Out of Focus was based upon my journaling that was done over a series of weeks, about my brother Joss who has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.  My BOW is a representation of Joss’ inner-self and the embodiment of his behaviour, moods and thoughts, via his conscious and unconscious states of being. The aim of my art is to depict his presence through the experimentation of processes and a disparate assemblage of materiality. In total, there are four separate projects – some consisting of more than one piece – that create my BOW. These are titled Class Clown, In My Head, Fading Out and Growing Up.  Each project focusses on a unique characteristic although the methodology is consistent. The subject matter for each work determined the range of media I utilised.   During the research and production stages, new areas of interest arose which lead to the following BOW piece.
