Hey guys, I’m back! I know it’s been a little while but, I’ve just returned from Splendour in the Grass and on my return I went straight to the lecture halls at uni… so can you blame me?
This August, I’m starting something new. I’m going to photograph and share with ya’ll what I wear to university aka: “Study Style”. It’s only taken me 1.5 years to convince myself that this is a good idea. I usually wear casual and comfortable clothes with some accessories to make it seem like I’ve put in a lot of effort (yep that’s the secret and it often does work). I rarely wear makeup and if I do it’s only BB cream + mascara. This is because I wake up at 4.30am to drive to Brisbane… and honestly is anyone really functioning at that hour of the morning? You will most likely see a fair few denim pieces pop up time & time again, but hey that’s the point of this series: to give everyone a general idea on what to wear to uni or TAFE etc. / what my go-to pieces are & how to style them differently / how to style casual pieces in order to make them look stylish.
I’m lucky enough to only have to go to into campus two days a week this semester! That means I’ll have heaps more time to blog, study, earn those cash monies and be in the sun! My subjects are sounding pretty darn exciting this semester (incredibly full on) but I’m super keen. There is Fashion Journalism, where our cohort creates the entire Frock Paper Scissors magazine! 3D Media for visual arts. This is already super hands on and extremely different to anything I’ve ever done before – but nonetheless interesting stuff. Events and Festivals, which is a core class for Creative Industries students. And lastly Fashion Design 1950s – Now. You won’t believe me when I say this but… my friend Brooke and I have just finished the first half of our first assignment for this class! Yes. It’s done. Well, we have to present it on Thursday… but the script and PDF are finished! Got any questions about Balenciaga? Hit me up.
Alright! That is all my ramblings I have for you tonight, I’ll be back next week after I’ve got my camera film developed with a very exciting SPLENDOUR POST (for now you can admire the battle scar on my leg).
